Next week, October 27th- 31st is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week's purpose is to promote and encourage living a life that is safe, healthy and drug-free. Get involved by participating.
Monday, October 27th- Team Up against Drugs - wear your favorite team jersey or t-shirt
Tuesday, October 28th - Sock It To Drugs - wear crazy, mismatched and colorful socks
Wednesday, October 29th - Wear Red Day - in celebration of Red Ribbon Week
Thursday, October 30th -Show Your School Spirit Drug Free - wear your school colors and attire
Friday, October 31st - Black Out Drugs Day - Wear Black Clothing (Peer Counselors will be representing victims of drunk driving accidents and asking you to present their stories briefly in their classes)
Holocaust Survivor Speaks to Classes
Murry Safirstein, Holocaust Survivor from Poland, spoke to Mrs. Schamis' and Mrs. Amelkin's Holocaust Studies Classes.
JROTC Color Guard
On Saturday, our cadets were highlighted on stage with Lee Greenwood as he sang "God Bless the USA!" The event was the presentation of a house in Parkland to a Wounded Warrior. Great event that showcased our Stoneman Douglas students!
Eagle Regiment Places First in Their Class
We would like to congratulate the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment for their outstanding performance at the Tarpon Springs Band Competition. The band placed first place in their class, won many most outstanding awards, and placed Grand Champions Overall. Thank you students for your hard work and dedication to the Eagle Regiment.
